"Patient Engagement: The Patient's Role in the Development Process of Medical Technology"
The inclusion of patient experience and expertise throughout the product lifecycle is key to delivering compelling, patient-oriented and innovative products and services. Patient engagement is also becoming increasingly important from a regulatory and reimbursement perspective, as well as in rehabilitation. The active involvement of the patient's perspective in the research and development of products and services is therefore crucial for the business success of medical technology companies.
The Fraunhofer-Institut für Produktionstechnik und Automatisierung IPA and admedicum® Business for Patients therefore invite patient organizations, medical technology companies, physicians and other health experts, rehabilitation and research institutions and associations to a conference in Stuttgart in order to get in touch with each other.
In the context of the daily meeting we invite to lectures and discussion of the following topics:
- Why is patient commitment so important for the healthcare industry?
- What concrete added value can patient involvement in research and development have for patients and industry?
- What opportunities do the various stakeholders have for successfully integrating the patient perspective?
- What are the benefits for patients?
