Rainer possesses management know-how in different sectors of healthcare, such as life sciences, medical technology or digital health. He has an extensive international network of decision-makers, opinion leaders and senior executives from politics, industry, research and academia.
Rainer began his career at Roche Diagnostics in France and subsequently headed international marketing for cardiology at Schwarz Pharma AG in Monheim, Germany.
After joining Swedish telecom equipment supplier Ericsson, Rainer was responsible for setting up and managing the company's "Digital Health" business unit.
For the global digital health stakeholder organization HIMSS (Health Information Management Systems Society), Rainer first served as Managing Director Europe, and later as General Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
He also managed 2 successful European telemedicine projects - MobiHealth and HealthService24.
Rainer studied European Business Management in London and Reutlingen and lives in Munich.
